My dad just bought me a XM 18 3.5. It is the black scale one Stanto blade flipper design. I think gen 4 cause he just bought it directly from rick henderer. He bought it for me for Christmas present. I really have no use for it and I don't want it to sit and collect dust. I was just wondering how much I should be asking for it when I sell it. Like what is the fair price of a brand new XM 18 3.5. I really don't know so that's why I'm asking you bf experts LOL. Thanks!

Cannot discuss prices in this forum and you need a higher membership to do so.
Please read the stickies, have a Merry Christmas :)

Your dad is gonna be sad if you sell his chrismas present for you, so keep it for at least a couple of months is my suggestion.

DUDE YOU GOT A BAD A$$h KNIFE THERE TOUGH AS NAILS AND RELIABLE. IF I WERE YOU I WOULD TRY IT OUT A BIT FIRST BEFORE SELLING. WHEN I SELL KNIVES I CAN ASK WHATEVER I WANT. DEPENDS ON IF I WANT A QUICK SALE OR NOT.

Your dad gave you a very nice knife for a gift, I would check with him before selling, he may be quite upset. He obviously knows your interests in knives and really did,you solid with that gift. If after you really don't want it and he is okay with the sale upgrade to a Gold Membership and do some research on the Exchange for going prices.

You could always trade it for a knife you would prefer (without needing to upgrade your membership)

Man you have a cool ass dad. My dad got me a Sebenza 21 for a birthday one year and I am quite sure my son will be getting it one day, Ill never sell it. I think selling such a gift would be a slap in the face for pops, those things aren't cheap. But hey do what makes you happy.

Thanks for the replies! Yea don't get me wrong it's a great knife. But it's too much for me. I don't like having a knife that I'm not going to use. I feels like I'm taking this great knife from someone else that would actually carry it and use it. I would be too scared to carry knife that cost this much and use it.

Carry, use it, and take care of it. I have never understood this thought process. You carry your phone, wallet, & car keys without worry. I'm sure if you lost those and they got in the wrong hands it would be much more expensive than the knife.

You got a point there! But I forgot to mention that I live in NYC... Can't carry anything locking. My edc right now is spyderco ukpk cf. The only time I can carry a locking knife is in my uniform.

Ah, can't help you there. I personally would keep it though. I'm not into "safe queens" either but a gift from your dad is different than if you bought it yourself.
