XM-18 Spanner

What do you use to unscrew an XM-18 pivot? Is a spanner a tool I can get somewhere online? Thanks!
 
Trying to find a spanner wrench online will be a pain. . . .unless you know the precise measurements. You could purchase an adjustable spanner, but finding one with the correct legs / engagement pins. . .well. . . .a pain. :D

Have you tried to contact Rick Hinderer ?

I owned a knife with a like pivot. I made a spanner wrench out of a screwdriver (using a Dremel tool). Need to make sure the remaining blades on the screwdriver fits snugly in the slot. If not, you reduce torque capability and can damage the slots on the securing device.
 
Very shortly I will be introducing a spanner/all in one tool that you will be able to take apart the whole knife with! Keep an eye on my website! I expect to have these finished up in the next couple of weeks. Thanks!!

Thats awesome, Rick! Maybe you could keep it small enough to fit on a key ring?
That way we would always have the tool on us and could field-strip the knife at any time.

Rick, any chance that you will be bringing any of these spanner tools to SHOT? If so, can you hold one for me? :D

hey Thanks Suz for letting everyone know! I just finished them before the SHOT show so i didnt have time then....and then when I got back from SHOT I caught a really bad flu bug so I couldnt get online and let everyone know..haha..But, yes, folks they are now available through me and Blue Line gear..Bladeart also has a few...Thanks!
