So I have a 3.5 inch skinner, newest gen, and for some reason, I can tighten down the pivot without having to use the tool. Meaning I can just take a flathead and tighten it without holding the other side of the pivot in place. It's not a big issue since it doesn't effect the knifes fiction, but I just found it strange. If you guys could maybe decipher my problem that would be great.

It's fine...

The titanium is providing traction on the pivot screw and the g10 side is not.

My CRK's are the same way when screwing them together except they have no G10.

Mine are the same. I have never needed anything but thumb pressure to hold it in place. Only time mine ever spins at all is during assembly or disassembling.

Every now and then they will have a little locktite on the screw and it makes them tough to tighten or loosen, my Skinner was the same way but I bought it second hand so I'm not sure if it came from the factory like that or if the owner put it on, I cleaned it up and it's good to go now
