Thanks guys :)

yeah it lights up real good! the glow i use is proprietary. i have it made to my spec's and it puts off some serious light for a very, very long time...pretty much indefinitely as long as it gets a little light here and there (ie. used under light at some point).

i put some on my Ra Clicky 170 flashlight because i was tired of knocking it off the nightstand when i would reach for it at night. every night before i hit the rack i shine my other Clicky 170 on it for about 20 seconds and it's still glowing bright as can be when i wake up. it kept me up for about two weeks before i got used to how bright it was. it lights up everything on the nightstand.

on a full 45-60min. charge it will glow for 24+ hours. so like i said it pretty much is just constantly glowing. also, it's life span works out to be around 13,000 years. the powder itself is non-toxic, but i lay it up in commercial grade structural carbon fiber resin and that isn't all that great for you if you turn it into dust and breath it in.....but in solid form it's perfectly fine just like carbon fiber.

all in all it's great stuff. it took me a long time trying different things that were good, but don't perform like this combo to finally get it all tied together to were i was satisfied with the results.

How is it applied to your flashlight? I have the same problem with my nitecore d-10 and would love to make it visible at night.

i made a thick ring of the material around the body of the light. it can be applied anywhere on the light, i've done quite for all kinds. does your D10 have a trit slot in the piston? i use the same resin to lay the powder up in and apply it to the lights that i do for the knives and it works great.

you can give me a call at:

if you need some help with the project, or want some more info.

Jeff,
My D10 doesn't have the tritium slot. There is a nice recessed area about a quarter inch from the rear of the light that would be nice to have glow. Then I could see it if it's tail-standing, or on it's side.
I'm assuming you get a quality glow powder and mix it with clear epoxy? If you get a chance to PM or e-mail me some links for products or tips/advice I'd be grateful. Otherwise I may try to give you a call sometime.
Thanks,
Eric

Thanks for the info. What would be the biggest down side to just ordering the glow paint for my flashlight? I'm guessing durability?

yes, durability. it works well under the lens, but not anywhere that's exposed to excessive use.

hey sun. which system three resin would you employ to affix handle slabs to a knife?
