XM-24 that slices like a beast!

I just had my XM-24 skinner reground by Josh at Razor Edge Knives and it made a drastic change in slicing ability. If you have a knife that is too fat behind the edge to slice like you would like I recommend a regrind. It makes a huge difference!

Nice. Except for the GIANT "RE Grind". It's a little bit too LOUD!

Edit: I apologize

Nice. Except for the GIANT "RE Grind". I'm sorry, but it really takes a set of stones to put your mark on someone else's work, simply because you did a reprofile. I would do that for someone and wouldn't think about putting my mark on the blade. It's a little bit too "LOOK AT ME" LOUD! Don't like it. How much did he charge? Like $25 bucks?

RE stands for razor edge. Rick Hinderer recently stated he was fine with regrinds (warranty not voided) but he asked that guys who are regrinding knives put some type of mark on them. Next time before you go spouting off do some research.

You know, I do think I read that some time go.

Edit: I was wrong. Forgive me.

It was a pleasure working with you Josh, hope your 24 serves you well =)

You know, I do think I read that some time go. I apologize. As long as they only do it if asked to, BY THE MAKER! I wouldn't want them to on the knives I make.

If that's all, than I was wrong and apologize. But I've seen the logo on ZT, Benchmade, Spyderco & Stryder. As well as others. Have they ALL asked the same thing? And it still costs too much. The other stuff I edited still applies.

I only put my logo on my work when requested by my customers, which certainly isn't all the time. Some want it, some don't and I'm never offended when people do not wish to have my logo on their blade - I sterilize blades all the time. I also don't put my REgrind logo on any blades that I don't actually regrind. As far as prices they are published on my website. Yes they have changed and gone up over the years, but that is because 1. I am extremely busy (6 days a week until about 9pm each night) and 2. I am doing this full time (hobbyists can charge less because it is not their sole means of income).

Your 707 blade is looking good by the way! :)

Well thank you Josh. And I apologize. I get it..your not charging anymore than any other full time craftsman would. I forget that, as a hobbiest at times. I've edited. I did not mean anything personal against you. You seem like a gentleman. Please forgive me. Your grind lines are absolutely flawless! I'm jealous of that skill.

I have sent a few knives to Josh for various things including regrinds and detent replacement and he has always delivered with quality workmanship and in a timely manner. I am willing to pay what he charges because I know it will be done right. Sorry to have opened a can of worms but I was very happy with my knife and wanted to talk about it.

Josh, that ano job on the lock side scale is sick! =) Gotta figure out how to do that...

I've got my spanto queued up at Josh's right now.
Third blade he's done for me and all exceptional!

You didn't open a can of worms bigshoe. As humans do, I posted without thinking. It was wrong, and sinful. I apologize to you as well and ask your forgiveness.

The knife really does look great. And I have no doubt it performs fantastic. As I said, Josh's grind lines make me jealous! My bevel lines look like I was having a seizure while grinding, compared to his! LOL!

No problems brother, it happens.

I would want him to put R/E on there. It's kind-of like an AMG Mercedes or Callaway Corvette. It's 'beyond' the regular model. Nice knife, too. Any pictures of it 'before regrinding' for comparison?

I'll look and see if I have any pre grind pics and if so I will post
