It was said that Busse will make xm17 bayonet in the future , or just a rumor ?

wasn't ever said here, so where did you hear it? or are you starting the rumor ;)
 
Spending most of my adult life associated with the military in one fashion or another I can say that would take some serious manufacturing capability. Not saying it could not be done. I just think it would be more on the lines of bayonet for the Spec Ops. I could be wrong but when you are supplying a major component every service member has, you have to be able to make hundred of thousands to meet demand. During wartime they would control production and sub them out . I would love to see them change design into a more useful overall blade. The bayonet for the most part is dead weight. To compensate for dead weight lots of people purchase their own and have it sharpened so it has at least some use. I still have mine own from desert storm. I had a local guy grind it razor sharp and change the edge to a more useful angle. Lots of guys did this and it make the bayonet something that is actually used. A P38 and a leather man tool just about met all my needs and I rarely ever unsheathed my bayonet unless ordered to do so. Just my two cents. Last thought though. I would LOVE a Busse bayonet. That would be a wall hanger for me personally. Sorry if typos I did this on my phone.

Well that's good news^^^^at least it won't hold up folder production longer than 2 weeks....:D:D:D;)
 
I heard that Busse will now be making their blades out of X12, the strongest matter in the galaxy.
