xm18 centering

Try adjusting the pivot and it should center up when the pivot is where it's 'supposed' to be. Hope this helps.

1. Open blade to 90 degrees and tighten pivot so that it is really tight.

2. Close the blade and loosen frame screws so they aren’t tight, but still holding the frame together.

3. While the blade is still in the closed position, pull blade towards the side you want the blade to move. In my case, I pulled the blade toward the liner/scale.

4. While pulling blade, tighten the frame screws.

5. Loosen the pivot and adjust it to the desired tension.

going to try this on lunch .just playing with the pivot alone did not work ill get back to you rd 12 . Thanks for the advice

Sorry been so dam busy at work.. after playing with just the pivot (never had time to do other)and using it at work a couple days it seems to have centered pretty nicely on its own . Strange

This will definitely work, this info is straight from Rick Hinderer and has been posted in the past. Quite awhile back I asked the same thing. I got my new xm-18 user in the mail this morning, took it completely apart ( every screw ) and cleaned every nook and crany. When putting it back together I adjusted it the same way. Works like a charm.
