XM24 second gen?

So I see that there was a XM24 Second Gen Proto auctioned off on the Hinderer website, what was the difference between the first gen and the second gen? Are we expecting the second gen to come out if it comes out? Does anyone know?

Everything on the street is a second gen knife, except for the original 9 all Titanium first gens. There are a couple differences from the original few - Pivot position, lock position, thicker handle....
