Forgive the ignorance but I recently acquired a Katz that is made from XT 80. I can't find any info on this steel. Any help would be appreciated.
 
If analisys shows same composition it is fare to make conclusion that some special HT is involved, because I saw many reports that it is much better then 440C in the field.

I’ve always felt that my Katz 302 made out of XT80 performs in the way that I would expect from a steel very similar to ATS34.
