Just wanted to give a short review of this knife I found on Amazon. Its called the XTOUC folding EDC pocket knife. Currently this knife is 50% off which made it $29 for me. I have to say, this is a very nice knife for that money. I have a lot of nice knives, Hinderer's, CRK's, Spartan, Les George, Spyderco, Microtech and the list goes on. My point is for $29 this is an outstanding knife. Yes its China made but for me this is my sacrificial knife. Its my I don't care one bit what happens to this knife.
It seems I am always trying to find the cheapest good quality knife I can and I think this one is a winner. Would I pay full price for it? Probably not as $60 is close to a nice Spyderco second hand.
The knife is comfortable in hand, the micarta scales feel very nice. There is no blade play at all. This version is a coated 14C28N blade which is a premium budget knife steel. The action is very nice. It is a button lock with a flipper. It flips easily and also the thumb stud works very well. Knife came hair shaving sharp. I also banged the back of the knife to make sure the button lock holds and it does. Knife is 7.5" overall and the blade length is 3.25".
I have also ordered the G10 and Micarta versions with the uncoated 14C28N blades. I figure I'll leave one in my truck, one in my desk at work and then have the other to carry as my sacrificial knife when I know for sure I will be doing stupid things with my knife.
Just thought I would give a heads up for this very cheap and very nice knife. I have nothing to do with the company but just wanted to share for others that think like me and like to have a nice knife that you wouldn't care if it gets scratched or edge gets dinged. Heck if you dont like it send it back for free to Amazon. I am always trying cheap knives and have probably ordered at least 30 now that I have handled and then sent back. This one is finally a keeper for me.
