So, it won't affect the knife at all, however these knives are finished by hand. You may have gotten a Friday night blade. In all reality it won't affect the performance of the knife. If it bugs you enough that you need to, email Ka-Bar with the pictures and they most likely will offer you a replacement. However to me I'd say beat the snot out of it and don't fret.

Keep it if you're fine with sharpening recurves... Personally, I hate it when I get a blade that has recurve in it which shouldn't be there.

That slight recurve will sharpen out in no time. Just put a little emphasis on the heel of the blade near the ricasso. A couple of sharpenings should have that thing gone....

My BK-7 also has a bit of a recurve to it a bit further back than yours. But mine also is a factory second and I haven't paid it any mind, the grind on it is a bit higher as well. Like Chameleonbear Chameleonbear said, it won't affect anything negatively and can be corrected with some elbow grease if you really wanted to straighten it out.

mine does not have any recurve. I had bought a kephart a while back from another maker that had a slight recurve. I didn't like it and it did not sharpen away. I sold it off. the bk7 is a much larger blade so it probably could be sharpened out. so I would say if it bothers you send it back. if not then like the man said beat it like a rented car.

What will make you happy....... CBear is right about using it and then putting a bit of sharpening English on it until it goes away but the question remains..... What will make you happy?

All Best.....
