Ya' Gotta Love Quench Plates!!!

I tried out my aluminum quench plates yesterday and their the second best thing since the invention of Glenfiddich Scotch. No warping at all. Did a stainless knife and a large A2 bowie.
 
You've been quenching in whiskey ??? Aluminum is a whole lot cheaper .Save the whiskey for after hours .
 
Yep, gotta love those quench plates.:D Makes life a whole lot simplier.

Hey don't pick on the Missed Placed Yankee (Tom). We know what SACRILIGIOUS is, we went to the same gramma school St. Joseph's. HEHEHEHEHE!!!
 
Glenfiddich is to Mcallan as air is to aluminum.Treat yourself to a bottle of 18year Mcallan, or 25year if you can afford it.
There are several readers of this forum who probably just had a coronary over the fact that a bottle of scotch costs more than a good anvil.

Stacy, I was introduced to Glenfiddich when I was working with the Queen's Own Highlanders in Germany in the early 1970's. It was pretty cheap in thier Sgts Mess. They don't give it away here in the USA though. I've got a bottle of MaCallan that someone gave me, but haven't tried it yet.

I'll bring it with me the next time we come up, but you'll have to remember this is sipping scotch, not the stuff you guzzle from a bottle. It's not the $1.98 a gallon stuff your used to.

A DOLLAR NINETY-EIGHT!!!???!?!?

There's no way IG spends THAT much for a gallon of rot-gut! I witnessed the swill he was drinking at the last HI... I thought for sure he was just wandering down to the shipyard and tapping the bilges... cheaper than the corner store!:D

By the time the MPY makes it up here it will be evaporated in the bottle. He has been saying for the last 10 year he was come up.:jerkit: :jerkit:
