I know there are a lot of you guys who wonder how some others here come up with some great scores on older Busse knives.

I can't speak for all of them, but watch the For Sale ads, watch Ebay, and wait.

One Mean Street I picked up a while back advertised as a "beater" had 2 minute scratches, factory edge, AND, turned out to be 5/16" INFI. Only $220.

There are sweet deals out there, and some of them are hidden treasures.

You could watch for my......

"Buying a new Harley" sale ;)

I hear there will be some collector pieces offered for sale too.:D ;)

Chuck,

I'll sell you mine:D .........

:footinmou Not!

The bigest trick to finding some of the real collector busse's is checking out the local gun and knife shows...... I saw them all the time before I started buying busse...... Now I don't have time to go to the shows:grumpy:

Did someone say Harley??:D

Good score Mike! 5/16" INFI is not too common ;) :D

There are enough INFI searchers out there already :( :D

Not even remotely a fan of Harley Davidson. I do like the new V-Rod, but who doesn't want to drive a Porsche!;) :p

Buying a new bike is why I'm selling most of my knives. But it'll be another Honda. Angry Wife has taken over my A.C.E., so it's time for a VTX.

For the price my brother paid for his Electraglide, I can buy two extremely reliable bikes, all my riding gear, and a lot of aftermarket equipment. I could also probably buy a third bike!

I see no reason to pay twice as much for an inferior product. ( I use this line on my brother constantly, and is meant only in jest.)

Harleys (post 87) are definitely reliable motorcycles. I just refuse to buy from a company whose dealers commonly sell bikes for thousands over MSRP, nor do I like the HD marketing machine that would sell you leather vests for your six month old for $85.

As the company that claims to be THE American motorcycle company, they fail to impress me in the way they (don't) cater to the American public.

For my hard earned money I'll buy a Honda VTX 1300s (completely made in the U.S.A. for undr 10K). Another alternative is Victory Motorcycle Company, great bikes ( the new Vegas is AWESOME! ), even though they did discontinue the model I originaly wanted to get....the V92sc.

I know I get pretty worked up over the little things...back to knives!

For the price I paid for one of my Variants I could have gotten a Topps, a Becker, one of those knifes that posted last week that's not a copy of Busse:rolleyes: and two or three more POS.
But I wanted the sizzle to go with my steak.
What will that Honda be worth in 10 or 20 years

lol :D :D

"one of those knifes that posted last week that's not a copy of Busse"

"What will that Honda be worth in 10 or 20 years"

chuck, you have a good sense of humor tonight :D :D

I do not get enough time to use the Busses I have let alone hunt for others!:(

After many Harleys I'm down to just a Night Train. She's got the 95 c.i. Big Bore Kit, 10.25:1 forged pistons, cams, shaved heads, 42mm Mikuni and stuff. Sold the Electra Glide Standard and just use the Softtail now but should I have time and money in the furture, I foresee a Road Glide and a radical streetfighter-bar hopper. That Confederate with the solo seat rocks.

Maybe we can convince Jerry to make a special run of orange and black snakeskin Nucarta for us H-D fans.

I reread my post, it was a bit overkill!

The sizzle with my steak?...years of hassle-free riding.

What will my Honda be worth in 10-20 years?...it's the peace of mind during those 10-20 years that I won't be sitting broken down on the side of the road during a long roadtrip.

The way I see it you're going to pay $500 for a Cold Steel knife while I'm going to pay $250 for a Busse...and like Busse, the beauty is in the performance. I think our opinions on what the performance should be on a motorcycle differ greatly.

Just because something is expensive, doesn't always mean it's better, it just means its expensive. Busse knives are more expensive than the others you mentioned, but in this case the price is well worth it.

...now I'm getting carried away again. We can certainly agree to disagree on this issue.

That all being said, I like the looks of the Deuce better. If you're planning a lot of longer rides, however, the Road King would be the way to go.

Now I'm going over to the motorcycle forums to argue with someone about what knife they carry!
