This is the longest two layer yanagiba I have ever made. If it was inch longer I would had to make a new forge fire. It was a challenge but it turned out great and customer is super satisfied

One side is iron and the ura side is silver steel and because blade is really long steel goes into the handle to give it a little bit more strength even though it is not very traditional

Hope you guys like it.

Beautiful! I like how you subtly made the flat spine area on the ura side curve and widen a bit as it enters the handle. Love the spalting in the handle as well. I always enjoy seeing your work and style. Thanks for sharing. :)

Thank you!

You noticed a very subtle thing on the blade and then I saw you are a knife maker and that is cheating :D

That part is widening because I actually removed more and more material towards the handle so when it is sharpened i does not touches the stone and there is less chance to accidentally ruin the handle on stone edge.
