Yangdu has some nice selections here but don't go nuts if we don't get right back to you as we normally do. I have appointment with radiologists and have no idea what they have in mind for me. I've already had so many scans I glow in the dark. So, we may be slower than usual but we're steady and will get back to you sooner or later.

Anyway here are Yangu's winners.

Holy Toledo!

Mmmm, sometimes UB has several of a thing. Lucky for those of us who get beat to the punch now and again. That pick sure seems to show samee-samee khuk- notice the K&C.

Just means there are 2 lucky wood-handled-BAS owners.
(not counting the 100's who already have)

You are exactly right. I have a twin of it coming! :D

go for the WWII villager by Kumar if you don't get the Bas , I bought
one last week and they are a really nice starter. I'm very pleased with
mine, even though its not a starter for me. I think it's my new favorite,
well for this week anyway......

Phil's BAS photo and the one today are the same khuk, different photo. Look at the grain.

Sure seems like it. I'm hoping that the handle on the one sent looks as nice as this one. I'm a sucker for nice wood, and this was part of the reason I bought it, as well as the thicker shape of the blade and the engraving. Hope I get lucky. :)

I suspect yours wasn't sent and was put up for sale mistakenly again. That's the same khuk.

I suspect that Munk is correct. I took a shot at the BAS fairly quickly and got an email from himimp saying it was gone. Probably all is getting straightened out.

So many people say that our H.I. khuks are alive:

dop·pel·gäng·er or dop·pel·gang·er (dŏp'əl-găng'ər, -gĕng'-)
n.
A ghostly double of a living person, especially one that haunts its fleshly counterpart.

[German, a double : doppel, double (from French double; see double) + Gänger, goer (from Gang, a going, from Middle High German ganc, from Old High German).]

Seeking it's intended owner???

How did it know and even more, how and where did it hide from Yangdu to avoid being shipped???

Those Tin Chiarras are beautiful. If only one would come in with an old style bolster and no cho creep I'd be all over it! CHOMMMMPPPP!:p :D

Yep. I had already contacted Yangdu and she said that a twin was shipped, so they must look very much alike. So I may have gotten a slightly different one than pictured, but hopefully it's just as nice. However I may still be mistaken, and got the one pictured on the right. If so, they look very close right down to the tools.

Edit: I just realised that in my haste to prove that the khuks were identical and ward off any takers, I hadn't properly communicated with Yangdu and Bill yet. :footinmou :footinmou My apologies to you both for not asking before I posted. :o
