Hi Yangdu. I have sent 3 or 4 emails trying to check the status on my custom "Super CAK". Not sure if my messages are getting through.

yangdu has been very busy, rest assured, she will get back with you as soon as she is able, remember that HI is basically a one woman show run by yangdu, with help from her friends and family. Please have some patience with HI as it is a great business run by great people, who will get to you as soon as they are able.

I know you will enjoy your blade when you get it, customs always take a bit longer, and maybe she is planning on contacting you when she has something to say other than : not ready yet. but that is just my guess based on past experience, auntie has to deal with so much email, it takes time to process it all and to decide what should be responded too.

I am almost positive that Auntie actually took the weekend off... The first weekend in months. She has also been taking care of her sister Kanchhu after a major surgery. Yangdu also has been healing from a dental visit late last week. She posted some DOTD's on Friday but my guess is she had someone post them for her.

I would bet the farm you hear from her today... Like I said she was off Fri, Sat, Sun... It was a much needed rest for her.

She has an extraordinary amount of emails and tasks on her plate, it's amazing she is able to do it all. Customs are pretty much backlogged for several months, my last one took over six months. Please be patient, and rest assured it will be well worth it.

Today is a holiday, which Auntie may have taken off or not, but she is very good at getting back to important emails when she gets back from short vacations/trips/errands, etc...

Well worth it, also, if you are having a large CAK custom done, it may take a little longer, because certain kamis are especially gifted at the larger models/customs, and thus, the wait may be longer, because she cannot just give the custom order to just any kami.

Oops... Forgot about the holiday. Let me retract my last statement and replace it with. Aunt Yangdu will get back shortly. I wouldn't worry about your special order. Perfection takes time and you will be receiving perfection. What size did you order if you don't mind me asking? I am pretty sure she gets shipments once a month, not sure about special orders but my guess is once a month to save on shipping costs. Please post some picture of your blade after you get it. We all love the monsters here.

The super CAK will arrive here within two to three weeks.
