Funny you mention that.. I was just looking it over. Is that M43 a full-width tang or tapered?

well, here goes on another Jange, this time I want to upgrade to express and tracking number!

Based on the WWII khukuri, the M43, which was designed as an update of the Mk II which was basically a WW I
design. The new knife had a stronger grip attachment system, a wider pommel
and better bolster design at the blade. The balance is slightly more forward
and the blade could arguably considered stronger.

IMO, this is one tang you don't need to worry about. Like all HIs or maybe better. I can't imagine it would break on you. I'm not an M-43 expert, but I've always heard that this is one bad mofo. This deal smells pretty sweet, Brian.

Brian, you should probably email.

UB didn't want calls during the holidays, and unless he's rescinded and I didn't hear, you should email.

Guess calling's cool then.

Good steal, man!! That deal is *awesome*! Also, I'm certain it will fit your needs. Enjoy!

I'm jealous. :barf:

Great news, Brian!

the M43 has great balance....you'll be like a spoiled brat...most of us had already went through at least a half-dozen khukuris before trying out an M43.

Sorry to hear of your shipping woes, Dave.....hope it goes better this time.

We have woes of our own though....a package I sent on the 22nd (sent 2nd air fedex) still hasn't arrived...:(

M43 = full tang, no handle rings, curved handle w/palm swell....wide belly blade...

stuff newbies love and ole-timers learn to love

man oh man....like getting a jaguar as your first car....

Had Yangdu send via EMS this time and I think I'll make that a standard with me from now on as waiting a month to get knives is unacceptable.

about your Fedex. sheesh. you pay for express and end up getting regular mail.

I would really like the 12" AK by Sher, but I just got the Kumar Villager BAS in the mail today.

It is 15" and 20.5 oz, and really nice. The karda and chakmak are the nicest that I have seen.

My wife thinks that I am crazy and that I have a knife addiction.

What does she know?

I must not, I must not, I must not.....

It was very nice to be swimming in the "shark pool" at the right time! I saw this post one minute after it happened and finally got my order in on time. Scored the 17 inch 25 ounce village Chiruwa AK by Bura. :D
