Yangdu, very pretty! On the first one, I think you have a Junge there, not a Samsher. Both my samshers have buttcaps and the swords of shiva do not go the full length of the blade as they do on the Junge. Also, all samshers to date have been made by Sgt. Karka or Bura. Finally, the length and weight matches my Junge specs almost exactly (Practically all are 28" and 90% are 30 oz. while most Samshers are about 18".)

What's rare about it is that it has been made by Kumar. Most all that I know of are by Sher or Bura. Interesting wood as well. This will be a good snag for someone!

Thanks,

Norm

E-mail sent on Baby Ganga Ram. Fingers crossed.

WinterWolf, you got a nice snag there. That is some very pretty wood on that handle. I also think you got a pretty rare one as I don't recall any regular production BGRS models in that length. Just 15" Villager BGRS's.

I hurried on the Hanuman, I thought I would make a good father's day gift for my dad. He has been wanting a khukuri since my 21" AK arrived. June should bring some father/son chopping.
