Those are some beautiful blades. For some reason, the UB designation made a little water leak out of my eyes.

For Josh's reason, water sprung to my eyes too over UB.

It's not over. Take a little more time.

That Trisul was very tempting but I quickly looked away and tried to forget about it.
Thankfully it worked this time.:D :D :D :D

Talk about analysis paralysis! First I'm online within minutes of the posting, and then dawdle over the Chitlangi. It's a twin to my Amtrak one in wood which is still my favorite khuk, 20" and 29 oz. While I dawdle it goes. Then I look at the BAS, which is the first BAS villager I have ever seen, and has a unique cho to boot, and while I dawdle THAT one goes!

Finally snagged the Trisul model, which is a first for me. If you can't decide someone here will decide for you! I just wanted one with the Uncle Bill markings on it for sure.

Well, Norm, I can at least tell you where that one went... :D

Unique cho wood BAS with special memory sentiment goes to join it's kin on the Gulf Coast... remember, I have beer money to spend AND am in good graces with my wife.

Ad Astra :p

Thank goodness I didn't see these earlier... Been looking for a new knife and some of those would fit the bill nicely.. My checking account thanks the sharks today. :D

Good snag Ad! Just noticed it doesn't have the trad. BAS frog though. Wonder if it might have started out as a Hanshee. (?) They are so close that the differences are really in name only. The length and weight is very close, as the BAS's I have are all 15 to 15.5" and 19-20 oz. In any case, it's a one-off for sure.

Norm,

When you get this, please let us know how it compares to a western bowie like the Ontario Helle's Belle. There look to be interesting similarities. Does it have a false edge and if so is it sharpened? How does it balance? Any other impressions you might have.

Thanks.

Hi Yangdu... Does H.I. have wooden khukuri stands available now? I am definitely interested as others might be. ;)

Email sent on the ... um... nevermind.

Losing my shark teeth I guess...

I would like some too, but I don't think the shipping from Nepal and then from Reno to us would be economical.

Just sent an email on the karda. Might still be sitting around the 'ol kukri shack.

Sure Howard, I'll be glad to. I have been trying to get my hands on one of these for a year and have always missed out, so will be looking forward to checking it out myself! I have several other production Bowies that will make for a good comparison.

Regards,

Norm
