Edit:
Oh my, I just noticed the white metal on the Bura Special. Variety is right!

Nice WWII's lately... carved handle AK's are not seen much these days...

and I have a Bura special/hanshee type like that. Pretty khuk.

and these little red "SOLD"s are working great!

15" Bura special sold.

YANGDU, GREAT IDEA!

Editing and posting sold on the original posting. Sure saves the ol eyes and up and down on the thread to figure out what is left.
I know sometimes you have two or more of the same item, but posting 'sold' when no more available is great !

Yangdu, you have proven to have a flair for this. The HI products and forum will continue to improve.

Thanks to a great LADY!

Thank You, Yangdu!

(hey- anyone notice Thank You and Yangdu go together?)

Nice AK, and a great price! I paid $50 more for the same knife last month, but with chandan instead of horn. By snagging the first new model of anything you pay a premium I guess, and I have an irritating habit of doing that, having managed it somehow again and again. What the hell. If I had held off for another, it might never show up again at all, which is both the beauty and the maddening thing about these knives. Also, I think it's perception and presentation, and a bright red chandan carved handled knife with a red scabbard is just such eye-candy that I couldn't resist in any case.

That one and this are the first carved AK's of this size with brass fittings. Previously they were listed as "silver mounted" AK's and went for $175 on the web site, but only showed up on the daily deals a couple of times. I have two older ones made by Kumar, and the quality of his current work, for these anyway, has greatly improved.

Yep, that Bura special looks about like the hanshees that were coming out a few months ago. Good design.
