Oh...nevermind...I'm broke...

:(

Wow! Easy pickings today...where is everyone?

Someone lend me some money...

Did you see the handle on that Villager Chainpuri? I snagged an 18" villager chainpuri on 5/31 that was the same price as this 21.5" today, but the handle was not nearly so dark and pretty. I really did like the looks of the blade though on the one I got. I plan on sanding it out and trying to get a nice finish on the handle.

I didn't get it but Yangdu made me happy anyway!

I wonder where it went? Will the bloody Shark please come forward and take a bow?

Those Ganga villagers are great! Every one from the Khonvention was sold, but they were 15" ers. Satori said the balance was like a Pen Knife, but with more weight and I had to agree. Mine has been my branch chopper for feeding the goats last few weeks.

Uhh...!

I guess that would be me. :o

Munk, I had written to Yangdu a few weeks ago and asked her specifically if she could get me a 17 to 18" 26-28 oz. Villager BGRS with _horn_ handle. I said I would prefer 18" and 28 oz. For a long while that size has been hard to get for some reason, with most BGRS villagers running smaller, plus I have missed every one on the YBB sales. I have only emailed for a specific model 2 or 3 times in the past year, but was frustrated on always missing them.

Yangdu said she would see what she could do and placed an order. When I saw this one today I emailed within a few minutes of the posting and mentioned our past conversation and luckily it was still available!

I hope you will be able to snag another one soon!

Regards,

Norm

Guys,
I snagged a BGRS villager 18 " 26 oz and i tell you..it's the sweetest looking khuk...nice balance. khuk and karda were both very sharp. I can't wait to field test it...

Another rare & beautiful Movie Model... sure went quick!

Also the Sher Chainpuri would be a *very nice* thing to have... have one in mirror/brass and it is a fast, fast khukuri...

Norm, good things are always going to come to a kind man like yourself. My road's just a little bumpier.

There is a story here I'll tell presently, but will do another thread when I'm ready. Very strange things these bone handled BGR; I don't recall seeing many if any.
