Greetings all – I was on the phone earlier with Yangdu and she asked me to tell the forum that she had a phone call with Bura earlier today.

She wanted you all to know that although Bura is still recovering he does sound better. She says his speech is still a little off and sometimes hard to understand but that seems to be improving too. She had sent him some funds to help with medical bills etc and so he was wanting to work but cant.

He has offered to try to spend some time at the shop; just stopping by or supervising a little bit and inspecting some of the work bring done.

I feel awkward posting in her stead but she asked me to let you all know.
 
Thanks for posting! I wish Bura the best and it's good to hear that he must be feeling somewhat better if he's wanting to supervise at the shop.

BFH44, thanks very much for relaying the message.
Smoke sent for Bura.
Bura appears to be one of those rare people who by their presence or sheer force of personality brings out the best in people. Hopefully visiting the shop will also help strengthen or at least put at ease the Royal Kami.:thumbup:
Now I am going to go over into the corner and kick myself for passing on one of his blades.

Bura would make a good QC lead. Not sure if he could do the requisite whacking, but he could certainly direct some young whippersnappers.

Thanks for the heads up and good news:)

Bura might not be able to pound steel anymore, but 90% of making a khuk is knowledge. The 10% can be farmed out to some young muscle who are learning the trade so that they too can farm it out in 40 years:D
