OK I'm done for a while now.

Still have some siru's on the way, and now todays feasting.

Wanting versus Needing? The line gets awfully fuzzy on payday

Sorry I missed out on that Gelbu Special. I normally don't like the narrow bladed models but those are so wickedly thick that they still have tremendous chopping power.

visit the HI website www.himalayan-imports.com, click the link to "Visit Our Shop." There you will find descriptions of the different models, as well as photos and details.

I did, thank you, and I read about it. Just wondering if anyone had any other canny observations.

As far as I can see,

1. a closed cho (interesting)

2. bell shape heel of the handle

3. thin blade like the siru but sharper angle at the top

so what did I buy? What's a chainpuri? :D :D

The only khukuri I own that scares me. :) It looks like a hungry shark, or maybe a barracuda. I took a picture of mine (it's posted in the raffle thread) and there is a weird reflection in the blade that looks like a hungry mouth. :D

It just wants to bite something.

The Shark was the nickname of our chainpuri. But I personally think the Chainpuri is the "romantic" knife :D You know with the heart shaped cho and all  :footinmou What did you expect from the ladies "point" of view?? ;)
