Went out to the yard this morning and noticed that a large branch had fallen from by old tree.

I said to myself what a perfect time to put my Busse knives to good use. Snapped some pics in between chopping sessions. The 1-1.5" branches were cut clean through with one swipe. If I got a good swing the 2" branches would be cut almost clean off and break apart. Even then 2 chops is all that is required most of the time. The thickest part of the branch took no more than 15 or so chops to take apart. The whole session took me no more than 10-15 mins with time in between to snap pics.

NICE!

Looks like that thing went through some of those limbs like butter! Did it get sticky and slow down over time?

Slow Down? Nah that thing went through the soft wood very easily. I didn't even break a sweat. Probably took me more time to take pics than actually chopping.

That's an expensive camp machete! I've done the same thing with my Fatty. Thanks for the pics.

Expensive ???? I think not ;)! I would rather have one really good quality one that I can bet my life on than a box full of cheap stuff. This could very well be the world's toughest machete :D This one will keep tickin and ask for more lickin when all other machetes need to be resharpened, have bent, or just plain destroyed. INFI is the best stuff out there :thumbup:

Very nice. Did it stain? Keep beating on it, then sell it to me as a user. ;)

There is a tiny bit of discolored spots from the tree sap or whatever. Also have some very light scratches from the dirty grit embedded in the 2X4's a week or so ago.

No big deal though.....1-2mins with some 320grit sandpaper and it is brand spankin new again

I think I will keep her because she is the first FABM. There may be others in the future but she is the first ;)

Right. More people are killed or injured around the home than any place else. INFI might have already saved you. Of course, if you had a whole box of the cheap stuff, you'd be ok. Enjoyed the pictures.

Yeah you are right. The cheap stuff would also have worked. It just would not have been as efficient or as cool :D

I have plenty of other big non Busse knives but I just happened to choose the FABM because it is my most efficient chopper.

I am not knocking on other less expensive knives out there that can also get the job done. I just prefer INFI and proud of it :thumbup:

As I said, I've done the same thing, Ban, and I DO have a box of machetes! But sometimes we just want to see what these INFI beasts can do, don't we?I used my stripped and polished Fat FBM to split fat lighter recently. It's a splitting machine. Took a while to get the sap off it.

Wow that thing is awesome. What model is that?

This one is called the FABM (Fusion Anorexic Battle Mistress). It was originally a CGFBM that I modded to full flat ground. I also thinned out the edge and straightened out the spine. It is now about .210 at the spine and much lighter.

That thing looks wicked sharp with some of those smooth chops you made:thumbup:

I'm sure your mods helped you make easy work of that limb:thumbup:

Great work and thanks for the pics!
