I stopped at a yard sale down my street yesterday on my way home from the grocery store. I scanned around for about 30 seconds at what was mostly clothes and furniture, turned to walk away and spotted this on a table with christmas decorations. Grabbed it, walked up to the woman sitting in a chair eating a doughnut, and handed her the $2 that was written on it.

How'd i do?

BLT-2-DRG. Are there any markings on the axe head? I ask as I have one that looks just like yours that I picked up at a local gun show that looks to be identical to your head, same blue color and shape/dimensions. The only difference is my handle is about 1 1/4 inches longer, but it may be a replacement handle. I can find no markings anywhere on the head. Thanks, John.

well, i would say that its pretty much worthless and that you should send it to me so i can dispose of it...:D

that is an awesome find... congrats!

Im glad i did good! Thanks guys!

Im going to clean it up this weekend and have a good edge put on it.

John A. Larsen: No markings on the head. Just the sticker.

What a great sticker. Are you going to retain it, and the paint? Hope so.

Too much junk in Montana already, so send it over and I'll see if I can get 50 cents from the scrap dealer for you.

regards... Frank

Obviously you did very well! Nice score. It's great to get an older tool that had some character and pay peanuts to boot!

Thanks for the pics!

best

Note to self.... make sure I give away or sell off everything I have before I pass on and the wife sells it for peanuts at a garage sale.

Did you ask the lady if her husband said it was OK for her to sell this?

We all need to find a yard sale like this in our area. Find a good deal and Run don't walk away.
