The yard sales in your area seem to be more interesting than the ones near me.

Beautiful knife. I wish I could stumble across something like that. :)

Around here: baby chairs, toasters, odd pieces of tableware, children's bicycles, child's wagon, odd nick-knacks...

My congratulations to you.
This time you are more successfull than me with 803.:D

Thanks Wolfdog, all yard sale here are not that good too... But sometime I get lucky... I look for old toys and child's Wagons, tools, Knives and I guess just old stuff... ITE ... ...

I read once that EVERYONE is a knife 'collector' at one level or another...So at EVER SINGLE yard sale I go to I ask if they have ANY old knives..Numbers so far are 1 out of every 15 or so will say yes and go back in the house and drag out something..Only once so far have they brought out a Buck [a 119] But what started it all for me was a Guy I meet leaving a yard sale with a old sorta beat up 'Randall Made' 10" or so fixed blade....No sheath, for $12.00.... Bargained down from a $20.00 offer......AFTER he asked then if they had any old knives for sale that was not on the table...I have had 7 or 8 go back in the house and bring out a few just to let me look at..It's ALWAYS worth asking!

First off for the yard sales here you need to speak Spanish . Then know the culture . That helps even more . I keep looking and asking but I've yet to find a Buck . A nice find 'E' . DM

The YARD SALES is interesting American tradition.
In Russia they are impossible.
We have only two small flea markets in the city with six millions habitants.
We have got Internet , it's a little specific, and it is not so easy to buy or to sell something is not new.

Dave, it's that way here too... Half of the sales I go to speak spanish... I don't... So I call my Mom and have her talk to them for me... even at the swap meet, I call her... ... LOL ... ITE

It is so hard work, you work as the investigator or as the special agent in the dark territories.:)
This process has got the sharp elements of adventures.

It's needless to bet. There's never a Buck knfe for sale at a yard sale in Germany.
I've to buy them in the States and to ship them over the big pond.
what a disadvantage :-(((.

Haebbie
