Old Case stockman! Bought it because I haven't ever seen the coloring on the scales like that before. Thought it was bone at first but after looking again I believe it's delrin. Never seen it turn that color before. Number on sheep's foot is 3318 SHSP. Anyone happen to know what that stands for off hand? I have quite a few Case but don't remember seeing that on there before. Oh well thought it was pretty good for 15 bucks.

Shane, I believe those are Delrin handles (your knife was made in 1989). The model number 3318 SHSP means this; the first 3 is for "Yellow composition" handles made of any synthetic. The second 3 is for the number of blades, and the 18 is the frame - a medium length serpentine stockman frame. The SH is for a Sheepfoot secondary, and the SP is for a Spey secondary blade. Nice find - my favorite EDC size. OH

Ps sometimes Delrin, in spite of its virtual indestructability, will discolor - especially from long term exposure to sunlight (as in a display case). Try rubbing it vigorously with WD-40 or mineral oil.
