I wondered if anyone has any info about these slip joints I found at a yard sale.

I'm not sure if they are worth anything or not. If I have something of quality here, I'd like to do a good clean-up and polish... even a scale replacement if necessary.

The Ulster toothpick has a broken back... that is, as you can see, one of the springs is broken. Is it reparable?

Thanks all!

If it's worth it, can I fix this broken back? Where do I get the parts? Aw, heck... who can fix it for me and how much it gonna' cost me?

Yes, not a slippy, but it does slip in and out the sheath pretty well;). Is it worth anything?

I think I payed about 6 bucks for all of these...

You got a good deal there ! I would be quite happy to have scored those... The Robeson especially.( one of my favorite older brands.)

Yes the Imperial can be repaired , the spring repair would be easy for me ( I tinker on old , very used Slipjoints.. ) , the scale replacement is something im still trying to master.

Are they worth anything ? Well sure ! You easily got a great deal, the Mora alone is worth six bucks IMO , if you like to tinker you could fix up the rest of them or sell them on a certain , unnamed auction site and make your cash back tenfold , i'd be willing to bet.

Personally I would hold onto them but , that's me :)

Doubt you will be able to find parts for the Toothpick. Best to find someone who makes slip joints and get them to fabricate a spring and put some scales on it. Any Idea if it's carbon or SS?

Stainless (unfortunately). Perhaps someone here who knows how to make the spring could PM me?:)

If the tangs on the two blades are the same, the quick route might be to pull out the spring from the scaler and get a good scan of it. A place like Great Lakes Waterjet should be able to make a copy of it pretty easily. A little filing to fine tune the fit, a heat treat, and you're good to go.
