Yatağan Sword of Baba:
Hi guys. Finished this custom piece up this week. Hope you like it.
We will be adding it to the web site soon, and well as making a video of it.
Sword History:
Its named after the town of Yatağan, in southwest Turkey, which was conquered by a Seljuk commander and blacksmith named Osman Bey, whose cognomen was Yatağan Baba. Yatağan Baba later settled there, and gave his name not only to the town, but to the swords which were produced there.
Bennu Eagle History
The Bennu bird serves as the Egyptian correspondence to the phoenix, and is said to be the soul of the Sun-God Ra. According to ancient Egyptian myth, the Bennu had created itself from a fire that was burned on a holy tree in one of the sacred precincts of the temple of Ra. The Book of the Dead says, I am the Bennu bird, the Heart-Soul of Ra, the Guide of the Gods to the Tuat..
