Last year I posted a slipjoint "Thiers" by Raphael Durand.
I let go that one and got a bigger slipjont instead, by the same maker.
This model is called "Yatagan". It has a 3 3/4" blade of RWL34. Closed size 4".
It is a "cran forcé" type of slipjoint. Same ideea as a lockback but the angle of the cutout is different and the spring tension keeps the blade open quite firmly without actually locking it. Anyway, I guess the correct term is still slipjont.
Raphael Durand knows his stuff and does top notch work in all respects (F&F, grinds, edge, ergonomy).
