Today I finally got a notice from customs, I could collect my package there.
This is the paperwork I did at home:

Had to fill in another form at customs, and then they checked if there were any drugs in the package, or if the knife was illegal, and what on earth a fire kit was, and in what category does that fit. Both officers hadn't seen such a fire kit, nor a fire steel.

They didn't find a knife category for the Izula either, they finally decided it was a "hunting knife".

They never told me what category they chose for the fire kit. Then I paid German VAT on it (about 10 EUR). And I finally could leave customs.

:D Now I am the proud owner of that:

MrCoffee also gave me some patches and I was so totally not expecting those and I am very happy to have those (by the way, they even helped my husband - which came as a bit of a surprise to me ... but that is another story).

MrCoffee, I am so happy, this is such a great give away, the pink Izula is so sweet, and the fire kit is really cool, the rod in it is thicker than I imagined.
And it is great to have yet another reminder on survival strategies with that kit. Thanks a lot, MrCoffee.

Very cool. Glad you finally got your "prize". That fire starter does indeed look very hefty. I will be ordering a pink Izula for my wife for Christmas. Congrats on an awesome gift indeed.

Great stuff. I really like those patches too, wonder if they're available to the general public...

:D Nice to see a happy cat ! :D

+ Mr coffee You are top banana, for the prize in the first place:thumbup:

He is indeed.

And it all smells and feels new ... and of course I had to take the firesteel apart.
Nice. GoingGears super striker won't fit into the handle, so it'll most likely end up being tied to the kit.

Oh thanks. I think it would be pretty cool to slap a RAT Pack Patch on a jacket. Hopefully one is made...
