Yay or Nay? Tire, leather man satchel

Found this looking for a new EDC bag. Maybe might be big enough to hold an Ipad and a few smaller items, but its quite fashionable.



What is your opinion? Should I make one?

No offense, but I wouldn't be caught dead carrying that.
There's a lot of nice looking leather satchels out there if you look.
Try Saddleback for a start.
I personally carry a waxed canvas Filson.

Without getting into the questionable aesthetics... :)

From a practical standpoint, the bead or rim of the tire will curve inward, wasting space and making the interior awkward to use.

Don't do it.
 
if you need something to carry your LPs around in, they do make cases for that sort of thing.

Really, carry whatever you like. Sure there'll be some who will comment and blow out your ego. But what the heck, you got a spare. :D

Nifty idea, if you aged the leather some I could see a hippie type person carrying one... Honestly. It does look good.. just not my cup of tea... I might have when I was younger and doing stuff like that but not now... Oh If you went with an aged black leather, maybe a punk rocker would carry it, I could see those selling like wildfire in Hot Topic!!

EDIT: the Hot Topic thing isn't a joke, they sell those belts made from old seat belts and what not...
 
Look at the bright side -- if people hassle you about having a purse you can say, "It's not a purse -- it's the spare tire for my Vespa!" Vespas are manly....
