Holy smokes! That is a looker. I will own one some day…

[edit]
I like the yin yangs sometimes but I also kinda like it without them. I keep coming back. Must resist.

But just look at those curves.

Lol - we’re all waiting for you to claim it Eric!

Just curious: Have you ever SOLD an HI or do you just buy them and occasionally gift one out?? You should post your collection sometime… :)

I buy a lot for gifts. I buy a lot of others when I see good deals. Others that I have just really wanted. I keep some that are special to me and eventually end up selling a lot of the ones I can let go when I need some $. Sometimes I make money, most times I break even or even lose some money. Then later I buy more. Just doing my part to spread the khukuri love. I probably have about 20 of my favorites

It would be neat to see a little Youtube video of you showing off/explaining your collection. You’ve got to have some amazing pieces judging by some of the stuff I’ve seen you buy. No pressure of course - I’d also be happy with a post with lots of pics. ;)

Those’re some crazy pics!
This sentiment applies to you in spades! I’d definitely like to see your entire collection!!!

Have you hugged your Thompson today! Thats all I got to say! Whats more interesting to me is what that paddle is for? What ya spankin Bawanna?
As purdy as them YCS are if I was to blindfold you and put one in your hand with a bunch of other blades you could easily embrace this blade and fall in love with the ergonomics and balance of it and it would be all over for ya! This setup is one of the finest HI has to offer for general use and as hard as it is to use cause it is so dang purdy you cant help to oblige! Any way it begs for service and you have to put in your hands to really appreciate it! Definitely on my handful of favorites HI has to offer! Mine is Yuvraj made and Kumar takes ya back to one more step closer to its ancestry. Dont get no better than that!

The YCS are in a class of their own! In the “knife world” the kardas alone would sell for what this whole knife would sell for! There are 3 knives in this deal and what a great bargain! I own 3! Don’t wait and make me own 4!!🤔

Bawanna:

What's the overall length on that big one? I have a 31" OAL sirupati, but yours looks bigger in the picture.

I guess this is as good a place as any to show off my hand-forged William Wallace claymore. It's 54" overal length with a 40" blade.

Part of the blade near the handle is wrapped in leather, allowing for a multitude of grips. These swords were not just swung or thrust as in the movies. They could also be bludgeons, and the hilts were almost as deadly as the points and edges, in the hands of a strong, well-trained fighter.

It's a replica, of course, since an original would be rusted out and residing under guard in a museum. Still, it's a very well made blade that could be used if you were a giant defending your homeland against similarly armed barbarians..

The unfortunate thing is that it was made way too heavy -- about 9 lbs, which is more than twice the weight of a historical claymore. Most of the excess weight is in the handle and solid brass guard.

That would make it a wall hanger, except that it's too heavy to hang on the wall safely, so I keep it leaning against a corner, with the hilt end down and the pointy end protected by a cardboard sleeve. Someday maybe I'll make a wooden scabbard, but it will never be carried into battle, or anywhere else for that matter.

Bawanna thats just a freekin beast! Dont get that sheath stuck in them spokes whilst rolling hard! That couldnt be fun!
Im just noticing the details in this YCS! Check out the bolster and pommel on the awl, them deep fullers, chiruwa kardas, perfect cho! This is the real thing folks and no surprise from Kumar! Dont get no better than that from any Kami that is still alive! No kidding! This if you dont have one and are serious about HI products needs to be in your collection! Theres only a few Kamis that make these and Kumar is as good as it gets!
Bawanna I bet your daughter is way taller than that knife now eh?
