Is there going to be a BCCI club knife this year? If I missed it what club
news letter was it in. Just received the October letter and I don't see one
in it.

They normally do come out in the June isssue. But I was not impressed w/ that model choice. So, I'll wait another year. DM

Hmm, seems like a lot of us passed it up. I wonder how many members actually ordered one? I don't know how it works, but I'd hate to see the club get stuck with a bunch of fairly spendy knives.:(

I did buy this knife. I believe the club gets the orders from members and then orders the knives from Buck so they dont end up with a lot of knives they cant sell.

Someone must, either Buck or the Club, end up with some unpurchased ones because you can still purchase Club knives from years past.

"We still have some "Member Only" knives. We always order more than we have orders so
that new members have an opportunity to purchase them.

There are always a few "extras" manufactured so that new members can buy them if they wish, but not many and they don't usually last long.

They actually store them in my office. That way when someone orders one, I get it engraved with their club number and send it directly to them. Saves on postage.
Also, I love the fact that they order extras...since I always seem to forget to order mine!

The original question in this posting was in regard to the Annual "club" knife, not the "special projects"... although it is nice to know of the extras that are available in both catagories.

But thats what we are talking about. The one with the gold ribbon on the blade is the club knife. The others are special projects.DM

...from earlier post are not annual member's only "CLUB" knives (w/gold ribbon) but special projects. That is what I was referring to.
