Red Flower finshed the last details on the sale of our Beijing condo today.

Also, she got a letter setting a July 12 date for her visa application interview in Guangzhou. This is one of the last steps in getting the visa. The paperwork on this has been churning around various US government offices since March 2004. She left the US in July 04 when her student visa expired, after only 6 months of our marriage.

I may take a trip to China to adventure before bringing her back. I've wanted to see Lhasa for some time.

Well good luck "fast neutron moderator" I'm sure she is worth the wait.

Marriage is a wonderful thing that often entails more effort than we thought when we first got into it...Best of luck

That is great news. Hope you get to visit and bring her home now. :D

Excellent news, Howard. I've seen people get ground up by the bureaucratic machine before; I'm glad that you and Red Flower are winning this one.

Good news Howard. :) I hope you and Red Flower will soon be together, never to be separated again!

Wedding money got spent Jan 2004. Now we're just trying to get back on the same side of the planet. Might spend some $ on a second honeymoon though.

Being back together with the one you love: Priceless.

Really enjoyed seeing you two spar in the "Southpark Cantinistas" thread. :)

Congrats & safe trip, Howard.

Wonderful news Howard. I wish you both all the happiness the world can provide.:D

Big grin, glad it's down to the home stretch. My personal take, if you'll allow me a metaphor: Love is a flame, distance/seperation is a strong wind. A weak flame is extinguished, a strong one is whipped to greater hieghts. We're all warmed by your bonfire.

With your permission, I'd like to email or pm you with a couple of questions. My wife has permanent residency, but her family is in Asia, and we're about to start some preliminary paperwork. Looks like quite an adventure. Love a heads up on potential pitfalls, or wheels that need greasing.
