DAMN,300
Now I Have Another one To Find!!! The hunt never ends. You like those 315s, dont you?

Well,
Just to be honest, that is the ONLY bright yellow I have ever seen. On 315s, I don't like them as much as ShepardJim who will be commenting at days end, no doubt.

Just for the education for all: ALL 315s are Camillus made. There are about 4 standard issued models (one other that was very limited with only a hot stamped BUCK in the scale to set it off), all will be black..two with bolsters, two without. Camillus issued some of the same designs under their own tang stamp. One of Camis. is a jigged bone so don't get overely excited when you see one........I was told by someone that the bolstered black sawcut 315 was issued to every Coast Guard Academy sailor for several years...also Navy guys bought them at PXs over the globe.....so maybe that is why they are seen fairly often.
*The colored scales all have to do with special orders, LEs or prototypes.* Buck would sometimes take a Cami made knife and re-scale or whatever the client wanted.

Cami. would ship Buck all 300 series knives and Buck would fill dealer orders.

I do not always ID the owner who provides me photos in order to guard privacy.
That is a hint and a assurance, to anyone who has a neat 300 model and a photo I could use.

Dont't know how to post pictures yet but have 3 of the older Bucks in yellow, 2 309s and a 303. Now have a new 309 that I carry almost every day and a new 303 I recieved for Christmas. I have always liked the yellow. It is a classic and I am glad Buck is making them.

I have a yellow 301 and a 305. They are very cool. I plan on getting all of the rest of the 300 series in yellow as well. I'm pretty irritated with myself, because I dropped my 301 in my garage last night, onto the concrete, and dinged the heck out of one of the liners. It can be seen as "character marks", I guess, but I feel stupid every time I look at it now.

I've been carrying the little 305 in my watch pocket, and have been very impressed with its cutting performance. The thing is a little scapel- so sharp! And the snap is so crisp- you don't find many pen knives that well made nowadays.

Don't have any older yellow Bucks, but I'm still enjoying my new yellow 309. Years ago I used to carry a 309 all the time -- all single spring Camillus made ones I think (gotta handful of them somewhere around here with worn out blades) - nice to have one in my pocket again.
