Yellow Camp Axe 757

I'd been beating the bushes for a yellow one with the sheath at a reasonable price and found three. Ordered one.

These must be discontinued I figure.

There is a red axe! You have a red axe. I did not know that there was a red axe by Buck. Cool. That bright color makes it harder to leave behind after the chopping is done.

How many colors are/where there?

I was only saying that I thought that the yellow axe was disco since I had a terrific time finding one.

Thank you kindly LB. Now I need a red one! :)

The yellow axes I stumbled upon are quite inexpensive and ship free so I hope that they are authentic. If they are still available after I receive the one I ordered then I might p/u the last two as well.

That is a great looking saw in your photo. Everybody should have one of those. I carry a convenient folding saw in my work car and when you need a saw, well, not much else will take its place. I like that it provides its own sheath and has a small footprint.

Definitely disco. Found the yellow jacket Camp Axe on the southern right coast for $24.95 delivered (close-out price) so I couldn't refuse. Very good hatchett. Really sticky black finger grip insert. I don't see the sheath being a convenient way to carry the axe on your belt. It might work but the axe would ride horizontally. However, the cutting edge is well-protected so you can carry it in a pocket, it is that small, or pack or.....

Glad I found the yellow model. I've been looking for several moons.

Found one red Camp Axe LB (last one). You set me onto a quest. Searched North American Continent and found it in Portland, online of course, about 25 miles from me. I'm dithering over the yellow vs red Buck folding saws that are getting hard to find but are available from the same place oddly enough.

I couldn't picture trusting that hollow handled piece of plastic on any serious cutting chores,i'd have a hard time trusting that.LOL.I can't tell for sure, but is the head just held on there by plastic moulded around the steel?

I have full-sized and short felling axes of similar design and materials. Brands from Gerber to Fiskar. My guess is that they are all made by the same offshore manufacturer. Been using them for years and I live in the middle of a woodlot. No complaints and I swing an axe like I'm mad at the wood.

With Buck's forever warranty I have no worries.

Good point,if they want to add a lifetime warranty,it must be made fairly decent..Maybe a light duty camp axe.I have an old stacked leather handle axe my grampa had,i dunno what kind of steel it is,but it "PINGS"When you hit it with your finger, and sharpens up sweet.

These are gifts from me, a Grandpa, to some fine kids.

I'll take gifts from my Grandfather any day. He walked the earth like a giant. You are lucky to have something from your Grandpa. I see and handle stuff he owned and used and I remember him and the good times we shared. Like gold in my hands.
