Did Case ever make Canoe with yellow Delrin scales? I am looking for one to match up with a yellow soddie jr as those are my two favorite traditional patterns. I would prefer Case but would consider other manufacturers.

I know it is a weird combo but what can I say??

Yes. They did. I'm positive that I even saw some picture here.
Now, when did they make it, and where uou can find one, I have no clue to help you :o

Interesting Idea. I'm not sure it makes sense to me though. To me, the Sodbuster being a work knife would easily get Delrin Scales. The Canoe is more of an outdoorsman's knife and should have bone, wood, or stag.

I'm not complaining, just kinda thinking out loud.

Yes, Case made the 32131 Canoe pattern in yellow Delrin with CV steel. It is not currently in production but can be found occasionally on large auction sites. There is one listed currently, in fact.

Not sure about a full size canoe but have seen the small butterbean a in yellow check the auction sites I have seen a few on there

I found a couple. One has bright yellow bone gunboat canoe and Marigold Jigged Bone Canoe. Just did a search.

Pretty sure I have one in my Case knife collection but it's been a few years since I've collected any Case knives. I'll look thru my stash ..

I used a soddie for skinning coons, foxes and other critters as a kid when I ran a trap line. I just thought the Delrin was easy to clean up after skinning a few animals.

Going to go down to the local Case outlet and check out the Butterbean and check out the big auction site

Rough rider makes a yellow Delrin canoe. I bought one earlier this year to try the pattern. Great size, very pocketable. Fit and finish are bit and miss. The spear blade is very nice. So is the pen but getting it open is horrible. It's a nail destruction device. I have modified mine with a dremel and now I can sorta get it open. I have pretty much gone to single blade traditionals due to this design deficiency. What good is a second blade if you need pliers to open it? I can just pinch the spear open on the canoe plus the spring is very soft. Oddly the pen spring is very stiff and combined with poor leverage makes the problem worse. Still a great way to try the pattern and a great beater!

Oh, don't take my previous post the wrong way. I love Yeller Delrin..... I'm just not sure I'd really dig it on a Canoe.

I think Camillus did one in their Yello Jaket series, they seem to be becoming quite dear though.
