I have or have ahd at one time one of each colour of Photon (except IR!). All of them I have liked as a general purpose flashlight, though some better than others.

The yellow, however, is the one I am least impressed with. It is so much dimmer that the others that I think it makes a very poor general use flashlight.

I keep it by the bed to use to reasd when my fiance is asleep already. It is very good for this purpose as there is just enough light without alot of glare off of the page.

Anyone else have a yellow? What do you use it for?

Clay,
I use a yellow one. I found it a little dim before, but I bought a torquiose one and then put the yellow bulb in it. Now it's really bright! I use it as a backup light on my keychain/lanyard.

Greg,
A couple of points you might find helpful. You could have just swapped the battery in the yellow CR2032 for 2 x CR2016's to get the 6V rather than buying another light.

That said, you shouldn't. Overpowering the white, green, blue and turquoise has proven fairly safe. Overpowering the orange and yellow isn't a good practice as it's been noted that 6v can kill the LED, whereas it doesn't have too much of an effect on the lifespan of the other colors. Just something to think about.

Oh, and I had a yellow on the keyring for a bit, but found it NEVER got turned on at all, compared to the red, white or turquoise on each set, so I gave it away. Of all the colors, that's the least prolific in sales for me.
