I've seen a pic of a 3344 by Case And was wondering what anyone thought of it?
Do they still make the 44 pattern?

I don't know if they still make that one or not. It is 3 1/4" long closed.

Here is Case's 3318 Stockman with yellow delrin handles. It is 3 1/2" long and is still being made by Case. The blade steel on this particular knife is CV.

If the 3344 you saw was the birdseye bolsterless
version none of those have been made in quite awhile.

The 44 pattern stockman is still being produced but I like
several other stockman mo' better.
087 probably closest to 44 in dimensions but I prefer 087
serpentine w/round bolsters. 44 just didn't feel right.
Besides why buy a 44 when there's the 032?
Probably just me. :D

Well okay, I hear where you're coming from.
So why buy a 44 when there's the 087? :D

Because for some bizarre reason the 087 loses the sheepsfoot blade and replaces it with a spey -- plus the 44 is available in CV in current production (in dark red bone no less  ) and the 087 is not.

Of course, there is the 32087 two bladed yeller pen in CV, which is pretty sweet, but not really a stockman.
