yesterday i checked at the hardware store to see if my Hoodlum was in yet, which it wasnt, but they did have two new Buck/TOPS Nighthawks in, so i picked up the larger of the two to compliment my CSAR-T folder. its my first Nighthawk so i had to have it. :D
Seems to be a well made knife (no suprise) and will probably end up in my camping pack. just thought id share.....

thanks man...thru the members here im learning smalltown Iowa hardware stores are where the rainbow ends, and Buck knives are the pot of gold. LOL

I love some Nighthawk action. Both mine (short and long) are older models with the nylon sheath. I need to add the newer ones with the molle sheath sometime soon. Nice score.

now i need to decide what to put in the pouch on the newer Nighthawk sheath....Swiss army knife maybe? i have an allox farmer thats collecting dust

I've found that the pouch is a perfect fit for a 110. Also, a Vantage Force Pro or a Bucklite Max (large one) fit great. The pocket clip works just great for slipping over the edge of the pocket.

I think a SAK, inless it had a lanyard hanging out, might get lost down in the pocket and be hard to get to.

Is the molle sheath the same length for both the long and short Nighthawks, as the nylon was for the original knives?

The sheath for the 650 is about 1 1/2" longer than the one for the 655. The pouch/sheath on the front of it is about that much longer than the one for the 655 also .
