I'm excited, this is going to look great on the wall! The Buck mirror is great. Does anyone know it there were others with different designs?

I have only seen this one a few times. I saw that auction.....$17+ for shipping kept me from bidding. I hope you enjoy it Dave!

$17 is a little high maybe, but I wanted it enough to pay that. It will be shipped UPS according to my invoice from them and UPS is usually higher anyway.
 
Very cool Dave. I checked Levines Guide to Knife Mirrors and $17 is in the high end of normal range:D

I didnt know such a thing even existed.

$17 was just for shipping. I guess I and several others like it alot more than Levine does. :D

I just looked at my invoice and they only charged $12.04 for shipping. I did have to pay sales tax though.
 
Dave, that a coool BM (Buck Mirror)... Now I have to find one... Boy they made all kinds of Misc Buck stuff... :eek:

That mirror is cool. Never seen a color version of that picture, though I do have a gold engraving of it on a 110. The price for shipping isn't bad for a mirror. It's better than having a broken mirror arrive. What year is that from?

I don't know when it was made. I have the gold etched "Blacksmith Shop" 110 with that picture on it that was made in 2002, but on the blade it also says copyright in 1994. I checked the 2002 catalog and there's no mirror there.

The mirror also has the slogan "Famous for holding an edge", so that might help date it also. When did they quit using that?

OK, 1997 was the last year that the catalog used the "Famous for holding an edge" slogan. In 1998 they changed to "The edge for life" so I would think perhaps the mirror would be from '97 or before.
