Ya! I was thinkin the same thing Joe.
Lon - You got my vote on that one. I think you scared the blade to death before you actually hit it - and it still cut!
BTW, if that gal enjoys hanging out with you while you're doing stuff like that, she's a keeper for sure.

thanks guys it was a ton of fun making that vid and it was too nice a day to be stuck on the shop. I have a holster for that pistol but I don't wear it unless I'm going to be hunting it's too big to really carry. I bet I burned through about a hundred rounds doing that like I said it was a ton of fun
 
Yeah, I was going to say wouldn't it have been much easier shooting at 15 inches to the knife instead of 15 feet? But it probably wouldn't have been as much fun.
 
if you cant keep your life fun then better find a new one eh? you know since i started making knives seriously as a career choice ive had more fun with other makers and customers at shows i don't know why i was a millwright for so long

You need to put a balloon on either side of the blade like the exhibition shooters do :)

How do you know the round hit the edge? The marks on either side of the blade look like the first side did after the first group that went slightly to the left
 
the holes in the paper were half round ill put that part of the vid up i edited it out for time but since you asked ill show ya
 
Wow that's cool !!does look like lots of fun-your post heading got my curiosity ,about 30 yrs ago my brother shot his 1968 chevelle ss w/a 30-06 rifle, it's a long story .
