Wow. Spyderco and CKRT kick major butt!
My first orders were a Dyad Jr. and a Calypso Jr. Lightweight, but unfortunately that order has been delayed for quite a while. Soooo, I decided to get some mid-size folders from another seller while that first order gets straightened out. Recently I started a thread on the CKRT KFF and the Native, and after many great opinions from Spydie fans at the Spyderco forum and knife-nuts at the Blade Discussion forum, I got both.
They arrived today, and I ordered them last Sunday! Brian Skelton at Discount Knives is SUPER-quick, not to mention his amazing prices. Now THAT's what I call great service.
Man, these knives are awesome. The Spyderco Native opens and closes soooo smoothly, it's like butter. That Spydie-hole is such a simple yet effective feature. The CPM 440V blade looks so high-quality and sturdy. Grip is excellent. Just have to get used to the fact thay it's a lockback, since I'm more partial to liner-locks and closing them (carefully, of course) with my thumb.
The CKRT KFF (smaller size) is also a great knife. The LAWKS system is so simple yet effective. It's like one of those "obvious" things that you never came up with. Also opens and closes very smoothly, and the blade is a greyish color. Looks amazing, very comfy tactical handle.
They look so beautiful, I'm hard-pressed to even use them! But, it's time to put these to the test!
Thanks again, Spyderco, CKRT, Brian, and all fellow Bladeforum knife-nuts.
Hrm...I think it's about time I seriously consider getting that Starmate...
~~~~(drool). Maybe also a Military, a Wegner, a Gunting, a Temperance Jr., a Military Jr.,(when they come out), a Benchmade 710, a REKAT Sifu, and maybe even a Sebenza...hey, a man CAN dream, can't he?!?!?!
