So after some extensive searching, I have finally found, sourced and secured a CPM S35VN, XM-24 flipper!!!

I am stoked! I dont think I have ever been so excited about a knife!!!!!!!!!!!! (there aren't enough exclamation points in the world to express how excited I am!!!)

A few things to take care of, and this baby should be in my hands by the middle of November!

Sorry if you thought there might be pics, I wont have any of those until the knife comes, but YES!!!! I got one!!!

:D:thumbup:

:D:D:D:D:D:D

You'll love it. They are awesome in every sense. Mine is the smoothest opening knife I own. The only thing to compare are my other XM's of course! :D Congratulations.

Now are the generational distinctions the same on the 24 as the 18? Cause I got a Gen 2 XM-24 and I was wondering if it was a handmade one, or if GEN 2 24 = GEN 3 18... Anyone know?

The Gen 2 XM-24 is on par with the Gen 3 XM-18 from a manufacturing standpoint AFAIK. There were very few Gen 1 XM-24s (I believe ten all titanium prototypes essentially). Both the Gen 2 XM-24 and Gen 3 XM-18 were available with custom ground blades as well as production spanto blades. There is no equivalent XM-24 to the Gen 1 and Gen 2 XM-18s.

Regards,

Rich

Man that's awesome dude! I feel your excitement. 3 questions:
1. Why not have it until November?
2. What color scales?
3. What's the first thing you're going to cut? :D

Thats when the final payment will be made.

2. What color scales?

Orange at first, then a stonewashed titanium scale and titanium standoffs and other accessories.

3. What's the first thing you're going to cut? :D

Probably paper... then every piece of garbage I see :D

Cant... Stop... Watching... Youtube... vids... To.... excited... to... sleep...

:D:thumbup:

I will have the final payment in on November 24th... so a bit more time to go... but I am really stoked! Those that have an XM-24, how do you find its big size works with EDC and general usage? Actually, new thread time!!
