...No, not that!...Better!
A guy walked into the shop with a box on his shoulder. Said he had some knives he wanted to consign. There was some nice stuff inside ...a custom Hartsfield, a really nice Hancock with mastadon ivory scales, a bunch of black Spyderco Police models, even a black Spyderco Mariner and some other good stuff from Barry Dawson and others. I was impressed.
Then I saw these two boxes marked Blackjack Knives, with Chris Reeve's logo and name on them. They were big boxes.
One held a brand new Shadow I, 9 1/2 inch blade and all. S/N #90, made in South Africa. Since I already have a 9 1/2 inch Gerbone (sp?)(Jereboam..Thanks mark.) (S/N 13), I was ecstatic. It is a perfect match.
Then I opened the second box and there it was.....A beautiful, brand new, 9 1/2 inch TANTO, S/N 4, papers and everything.
Needless to say, those two knives are now MINE, all mine.
I tell you, some days it really pays to go to work.
I love my job.
Sorry guys, I just can't stop grinning.
As soon as I can get a proper case made up they are going on display in the store.
NOT for sale!
