Yet another 110 date question

I've now come across at least two eBay 110 listings that show nice clean shots of the tang stamps and they all clearly show a dash before and after the 110. (-110-) Is this just a variation of a 1992 (110-) or some diabolical rip-off.

From what I've seen, if you guys don't know nobody will.

Thanks Goose, It's my version of a quote off a sign they have hanging in a barbeque joint that I frequent........when I changed the word barbeque to knives it seemed to pretty well capture my feelings ;0)
