Does anyone know if dealers are receiving them now or is it just collectors? Thanks. I hate delayed gratification...

Dealers are receiving them, and have been for over a year, I'd say. Just not very many at all (Think of trying to find a plain edge Starmate. Now try for another couple of months). The blades are hand ground in Japan, and from what I understand, LOTS of them are failing QC in Boulder.

Call around, and you'll find one. I got mine from Bob Lum hisself last spring. Whined and kvetched, and finally got him to give one up. Oh, yeah - paid near full retail, too.

knave,

Brian is right in that we have been shipping them for awhile but in extremely limited quantities. Few dealers have actually received them. Our production is limited to approx. 200 pieces a month due to the materials that we are using and the diffcult
grind that is used.

Based on our current production it will be at least 1 1/2 years before we are able to fill our current backorders.

Thanks for the update, Michelle. I guess I'll have to get used to waiting.
