Thought I'd join in the fun and show off my new CABS. :D This thing is thin, sharp, and otherwise pretty much perfect :p

Let's start simple...

Beautiful convex edge:

In the hand (perspective turned out a little strange on this one, my hands aren't that big):

Next to the original BOSS Street:

Awesome knives!

Is it just the camera angle or do some of these CABS have a very slight recurve to them?

Camera angle, I think, Matteo.

Mine have no recurve.

I think they do (mine does at least, and I think I see it in the photos above) and it's a result of no choil. This is why choils, or sharpening notches, are good.

I aligned mine against a steel straight edge, and Mikeymoto is not wrong. One of them DOES have a slight recurve; probably for the reason mentioned by Mikeymoto.

It is awfully slight.

Hey, nice knives. Would you be willing to take one more shot and show the perspective of the two boss streets spines next to each other for comparison?

Knew I was missing something... it's dark now, I'll have to get out the camera tomorrow.

As mikeymoto and OldPhysics said, the recurve is there, but it's pretty much negligible.

The lack of a choil makes it nearly impossible to sharpen completely even, especially with a belt sander as only the very edge of the belt will be hitting that section. Hand sharpened blades without a choil will all have a small recurve right where the choil would be.

No recurve on mine, but when you get up next to the talon hole, there is a bit more meat there because the sharpening stops about 1/8 out.

Not to hijack your thread... I can't help but notice...It seems that most people (judging from all the posts that went up) got a CABS versus the SCABS or LCABS. I guess everyone just wanted more knife edge to cut with... debating going with a SCABS myself

many hand ground convexed blades will end up with a mild recurve in the choil. its because the belts are slack and while you can manage the tip grinding and the body area, the belts always want to curve away at the choil if they are not really tight belts and that causes them to grind a bit deep at the belt centre, rather than straight when you are trying to slack belt the very edge of the grind.
