I have never seen it alive, only on the Internet, and trying to understand what it is.

1. Would you wear it as a neck knife (after taking scales off, or perhaps even with scales)?

2. Do you consider it to be an "Izula substitute"?

2. The Izula is smaller, thinner and less expensive

They are two very different feeling knives

As the picture shows, the Izula is smaller then the HEST, but the HEST is not a huge knife itself. You could use the HEST as a necker, but it is going to be more comfortable to carry it on your belt (IMHO).
